L'Équipe receives president Bartomeu

As part of the trip to Paris, the FC Barcelona president visited the offices of the French sports paper, which also publishes the likes of ‘France Football’

FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who is in Paris for Barça’s game on Tuesday night with PSG, visited the L’Équipe Group offices today.

Part of the Amaury organisation, the publisher not only issues the printed and online versions of L’Équipe, as well as running its own TV channel, but also prints magazines such as L’Équipe Magazine and France Football.

Bartomeu, who was joined by vice-president Jordi Cardoner, was welcomed by the director general of the group, François Morinière, the director of France Football and also the football contents of L’Équipe, Gérard Ejnès, the director of L’Équipe newspaper, Fabrice Jouhaud, and his assistant, Elie Barth.

The FCB president gave an interview for the daily while he was there and then he and Cardoner were shown around the offices, and posed for photographs before another interview, this time broadcast live on L’Équipe TV.

One of the happiest moments of the day was when Bartomeu was pictured next to the an image of the cover of L’Equipe used the day after Andres Iniesta scored his famous last-second winner against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the 2009 Champions League semi-final.
