Seven demanding matches until the next international break

After the most recent international break, the Catalans return to league competition this Saturday

FC Barcelona will face a total of seven games during the month of September and the beginning of October, before league action takes a back seat for international commitments again. Of those seven matches - five are in the league and two in the Champions League. Teams such as Valencia, Borussia Dortmund, Inter and Sevilla, all of them at a high level, will present a very demanding schedule for Ernesto Valverde's side.

The first test will be this Saturday against Valencia at the Camp Nou (9.00pm CEST), a match where Barça will be looking to get the points that sees them start to climb the La Liga table.

Borussia Dortmund, first match in the Champions League

The start of the 2019/20 Champions League soon follows, with a real test away against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday 17 September (9.00pm CEST).

Barça will then face three more league matches before the end of September: Granada (Saturday, September 21, 9.00pm CEST), Villarreal (Tuesday, September 24, 9.00pm CEST) and Getafe (Saturday, September 28, 4.00pm CEST). Nine points to play for in just seven days.

After the Getafe match, Internazionale arrive at the Camp Nou on October 2 (9.00pm CEST), for the second round of the Champions League group stage.

Barça – Sevilla: Last match before the second international break

Just before the next international break, Barça will receive Sevilla on Sunday, October 6 (9.00pm CEST).
