Olimpia Milan 85-90 Barça Lassa: Four wins in a row

Pesic's team continue their excellent run in the Euroleague with an excellent second half in Italy

Barça Lassa recorded their fourth win in a row in Europe's premier basketball competition and their seventh in all competitions. The 85-90 win came in the Mediolanum Forum in Milan in week 17 of the Euroleague and great performances from Heurtel and Hanga in particular mean that the blaugranes are now in sixth place in the table with a record of 10 win and 7 defeats.

The first two quarters saw the sides struggle to open up a significant lead. Foul trouble meant coach Pesic could not use his bench as he would have liked but in spite of that the efforts of Heurtel and Séraphin on offense helped keep it tight at the break with the home side marginally in front at 37-36.

In the second half a great start saw Barça Lassa move in front with two successive three pointers from Singleton making 45-54 after 27 minutes. Eight points up going into the final quarter, the combination of Hanga on defense and Heurtel in attack allowed Barça to surge ahead at 68-80. The Italians launched a late comeback but the difference was too great and Barça Lassa recorded their second win of the season over Olimpia.
