San Pablo Burgos 80-85 Barça Lassa: Gripping victory at the Coliseum

A swinging scoreboard settles the way of the leaders, who are now 13-2 and on a six-match winning streak

Barça Lassa have won 85-80 at San Pablo Burgos in a game that was tight until the end and saw Tomic lead the stats with 23 points and nine rebounds.

There was a joy to the way Barça went into the game, and after a tight opening few minutes, a 3-9 streak meant they had set up a promising 17-23 lead by the end of the first period.

But the home side quickly regrouped and got back to 24-25 and some sharp shooting soon had them leading 31-27 before a Tomic inspired surge from the blaugrana meant the visitors led by a nose at the interval (38-40).

The Catalans finally got in command in the third period, with Claver, Pangos and Ribas scoring the points and Oriola, playing his 200th league game, inspired in offensive rebounds, and round three ended 57-66.

That may have looked like enough, but an 8-0 streak suddenly had things back to 65-66. Barça again needed to react and again they did. Ribas and Tomic found the connection in offence and a sixth consecutive win in the compaetition leaves FCB top of the table with a 13-2 record.
