Juan Carlos Navarro is living history at Barça Lassa and tonight the Palau Blaugrana gave ‘La Bomba’ full honours on occasion of the 20th anniversary of his first team debut.
The players came out wearing special shirts, as did a number of former stars that played alongside Navarro: Jordi Trias, Víctor Sada, Roger Grimau, Roberto Dueñas, Quique Andreu, Alfons Alzamora, Rafel Jofresa, Xavi Fernandez and Gianluca Basile.
Following a video of some of the highlights of his glittering career, his daughters appeared to present him with a unique pair of Nike Air Force 1 trainers customised by the artist Ricardo Cavolo.
Finally, Andrés Iniesta handed a trophy to Navarro along with club president Josep Maria Bartomeu and the director responsible for the basketball section Joan Bladé – while the fans also got involved with a wonderful mosaic in the stands.
