BAXI Manresa 80-94 FC Barcelona: Second half turnaround

Ten down in the first period, the blaugrana ended up winning by 14 to close the regular season in grand style

Barça have ended the regular season with a win in the Catalan derby at BAXI Manresa. The home side looked well in control early on but with Laprovittola leading the way with 20 points, the second half was blaugrana ahead of a big trip to Belgrade for the Final Four.

Manresa’s fine start was reflected with a 21-15 lead, and much as Barça tried to sort their game out the deficit rose as high as double figures at one point in the first half.

What coach Saras couldn’t find in the first half was nailed in the second. A Laprovittola three finished off an 8-0 streak that changed everything. Manresa couldn’t work out what had hit them as their big lead came to nothing and instead it was Barça who started moving further and further ahead.

The 1/17 in 3-point attempts was what hit the home side most and instead Barça went on to win by a massive 14 points. What a turnaround!
