The final of the Super Cup will see Barça involved after an impressive 87-68 win over Valencia Basket in the semi finals. Saras Jasikevicius' team put in a great defensive display to book their place in Sunday's showdown.
Defences were on top from the start but it took a run of eight unanswered points for the blaugranes to take the lead at 11-8 early in the first half. Barça's excellence in defence allowed them to extend their lead to 27-16 at the end of their first quarter.
The second quarter followed the same script with Jokubaitis' basket sealing a 37-20 lead on 15 minutes. That advantage was maintained until half time when the sides went in at 45-28 to Barça.
The third and fourth quarter saw no let up with the lead stretching beyond 20 points at 67-44. Valencia came back but there was no hope of closing the deficit as Barça controlled proceedings to claim a 87-68 win.
