Tuesday 17 August is the day that FC Barcelona’s basketball team returns to duty, starting with the medical tests. Sarunas Jasikevicius will be holding his first training session the day after, although the players involved in the Tokyo Olympics will not be back by then. The numbers will be boosted by some players from Barça B.
Trip to Andorra
The team will be returning to Encamp, Andorra for a training camp from August 24 to 31, where they’ll also be playing a friendly on a date and against an opponent yet to be announced.
Liga Catalana
They’ll then head to Manresa for the Catalan League on September 4 and 5. The first semi is against Joventut Badalona at 7.30pm CEST, and if the blaugrana progress, the final is the day after at 9.30pm CEST against the winner of BAXI Manresa and MoraBanc Andorra.
Before the Liga Endesa starts on September 18, and the EuroLeague gets going on October 1, there is also the Supercopa Endesa on September 11 and 12 in Tenerife. Barça will be facing either Iberostar Tenerife or Valencia Basket, depending on a draw to be made shortly.
