Barça beat Euroleague leaders CSKA Moscow away from home on Friday night

Barça made a statement of intent against CSKA Moscow on Friday night, besting the current Euroleague leaders 75-88 away from home. Jasikevicius' men put in a strong display, overcoming a first quarter deficit to claim a big victory. Cory Higgins was the standout performer, scoring 25 points.

Home side start strong

That advantage for the Russian side was extended to 12 points at the start of the second period, following a Mike James 3-pointer. Abrines then hit four-in-a-row from outside the arc, whilst a solid defence and scores from Higgins and Smits pulled Barça into the lead before the break, 41-42.
