Barça have beaten Retabet Bilbao thanks to a superb third quarter and with Hanga (13 points) and Higgins (12) as Barça's top scorers.
Abrines' good form continues
Without a doubt, Álex Abrines is enjoying his basketball at the start of this Endesa League. The Mallorcan, one of the key players in the last victory at Martín Carpena, started this match with the same momentum. Alongside Calathes and Higgins, they were the protagonists of the first quarter (18-17).
A 5-0 run in favour of Barça served to open the next quarter, and with Bolmaro's three-pointer, the culers surged ahead by eight points (30-22, min. 16). By half-time, the Catalans still led by six (39-33).
The Catalans take flight
In the second half, Higgins grabbed two consecutive triples and, together with Hanga's points, eased Barça further ahead. Bilbao remained competitive until the fourth quarter, but the hosts didn't relax and by the end of the game, the difference was a cavernous 18 points (82-64).
