Barça 90-72 Zenit: A comfortable night

The blaugranes win by a distance against the Russian team, making it three victories in a row

Barça earned their third consecutive Euroleague victory, and fifth in all competitions, after beating Zenit 90-72. The match at the Palau Blaugrana began with a respectable minutes silence in memory of Robert Archibald and Kobe Bryant.

Claver and Mirotic's three-pointers gave the hosts a fine start (10-0), but the Russians clawed their way back into the game and drew level by the end of the first period (21-21).

Kuric and Delaney lead the way

Kuric and Delaney added 28 points in the second quarter, (15 and 13, respectively), and that helped to put daylight between the sides (53-31) as well as sending the entire Palau Blaugrana crazy. The third quarter was fairly equal until three consecutive three-pointers from Heurtel, Claver and Kuric put Barça firmly back in control (74-54, 30 minutes). Zenit tried hard to cut the deficit, but it was practically insurmountable, and the game was over long before the final whistle. Barça's next match comes in the Endesa League on Sunday, February 2 (6:30pm CET) at the Iberostar Tenerife court.
