Nikola Mirotic has been designated the MVP for the month of December in the Euroleague. The five Barça victories against Khimki, Panathinaikos, Asvel, Bayern and Olympiacos, along with the great games played by the No.33 with averages of 19.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 25.4 valuation, have served to enable Mirotic to win this award for the third time in his career.
Maximum reliability
In the five games during December, Mirotic set his record for points during the season (28 on the Khimki track), of rebounds captured (15 vs. Olympiacos) and fouls received (8 vs. Panathinaikos).
His Euroleague season has been spectacular with 18.9 points and 7.2 rebounds on average in the 16 games played so far. In 15 of the 16 matches, the Hispanic-Montenegrin has scored 10 or more points and in all 16 he has exceeded double digits in valuation.
Barça, who occupy first position in the Endesa League together with Real Madrid and Anadolu Efes, have a balance of 13-3, the best from a Barça team since the new Euroleague format has been introduced.
