Barça 89-63 Fenerbahce: Sheer brilliance

Some win for Barça in Europe tonight. Fenerbahçe never got a look-in and the Catalans cruised to an 89-63 victory against a side that’s now 2-7 while Barcelona top the table on 7-2. Higgins led the way with 22 points. 

Good work on defence and with turnovers meant the blaugrana were already +10 after the first period (25-15). Strong attack and solid defending kept things going in the second, and although Fenerbahçe upped the ante, the lead was even bigger by the break (44-30).

A 10-4 streak took the difference to a remarkable +24, with top combination plays some flashy solo stuff and going into the final period there wasn’t much that the Turks could do to avoid the inevitable. Barça could afford to showboat, the Palau was in full song and it all ended 89-63.
