Zenit 63-87 Barça: A second European victory

A tough match for both sides saw Barça earn 28 points in the final quarter to take the win

A close game at the Zenit track finally tilted the way of the blaugrana in the last period. A 7-28 partial ensured a second European victory, and the match saw Kuric, with 24 points, and Mirotic, with 17, as Barça's top scorers.

Barça dominated under the hoop, but a constant exchange of baskets meant that the first period ended 20-19. Throughout the second period, Barça were on the front foot, Kuric, with 10 points and Claver, with eight, leading the charge. By half-time the visitors were leading 40-43.

Low scoring in the first few minutes of the third period (44-45, min 25) was broken when Davies scored with a great triple, but even so, Barça still couldn't pull away (56-59).

Kuric's triple took his team eight clear (56-64, min 34), and from there on, Zenit had no answer. Mirotic's eight consecutive points, as well as a number of free throws, gave Barça an insurmountable advantage at the buzzer.
