Heurtel to undergo knee surgery in France

Thomas Heurtel is to undergo surgery in France next Monday on a partial tear to the patellar ligament in his left knee. The injury occurred while training with the French national team for the World Championship in China.

The FC Barcelona Medical Services will be travelling to be present at and assess the operation. Afterwards, they should be able to issue a more precise statement about the guard’s condition and the length of time for which he is expected to be out of action.
