El Clásico VIP experience success

A great response to this new activity prior to Barça vs Real Madrid

At El Clásico, one experienced a spectacular show thanks to Luis Suárez's hat-trick and goals from Coutinho and Vidal, but the excitement wasn’t exclusive to the Camp Nou pitch.

VIP clients spent unforgettable hours prior to the match that were a huge success, with many of the blaugrana facilities transformed to allow all the customers who chose this service to enjoy a magical atmosphere.

The demand for the VIP experience was such that three extra rooms had to be opened. The Ice Rink, the Museum and the Auditorium were completely transformed to accommodate 1,700 people. Furthermore, an additional 180 additional staff were required to take care of client needs.

The Ice Rink, transformed

The Ice Rink became a space where customers could feel like a player and experienced being part of Ernesto Valverde’s staff. A large bar was mounted in the centre circle, around which all the other spaces were designed.

Other elements that stand out from the experience were the white lines drawn on a green carpet to make it look like the Camp Nou pitch, as well as a photocall with an exact replica of the team. A giant football table was available to use as were PlayStation games thanks to our partners KONAMI.

The climax at the Ice Rink came when Coldplay's ‘Viva la Vida’ song started playing at 3.40 pm, a practice that was repeated in the Museum and the Auditorium, followed by showers of confetti.

The dynamics of the rooms, with actors dressed as referees, coaches and reporters, made customers feel part of the action, while a giant screen indicated the time until the start of the match. The experience was completed by the Iglesias brothers, with renowned catering to top off the 5-1 win against Real Madrid. It was a unique day for all those present.
