‘Eat Like a Pro’, Beko's new initiative | FCB

31 August 2017, Beko is proud to launch ‘Eat Like A Pro’, its new initiative with support from FC Barcelona aimed at raising awareness of the rapidly growing rates of childhood obesity around the world. The campaign aims to tackle the issue by empowering and helping parents globally on the importance of healthy eating whilst encouraging children to emulate their FC Barcelona heroes and ‘Eat Like A Pro’.

The full campaign will be rolled out globally from January 2018, and will engage with families, schools, communities and homes around the world to rethink their food choices, and ‘Eat Like A Pro’. Hakan Bulgurlu, CEO of Arcelik A.S., the parent company of Beko: “At Beko, we believe we can help tackle this crisis in two important ways: by our innovative technologies that make healthy eating easier; and by generating excitement amongst children to eat healthily.” 

Ella Mills AKA Deliciously Ella and FC Barcelona football legend Patrick Kluivert joined Beko today at IFA for the campaign announcement, showing their support whilst sharing their expertise and tips on healthy living. Patrick Kluivert comments: “For me to play at the top of my game for more than 15 years, healthy eating and nutrition was so important to me.” Ella Mills said: "I’m excited about being part of a campaign that aims to reach families worldwide on the issue of childhood obesity, and with the support of Beko and FC Barcelona I hope that we can really make a difference by showing how delicious healthy eating and good nutrition is key to fighting this worrying global epidemic.”

The campaign also aims to grant families exclusive access to the eating habits of the team’s finest players via not only the ‘Eat Like A Pro’ recipe book, featuring exclusive recipes by FC Barcelona nutritionist Dra. Mª Antonia Lizárraga Dallo and Ella Mills, but also through the ‘Eat Like A Pro’ website.

Here, parents, children and families can access a range of fun activities, healthy eating hints and tips and recipes enabling Beko to inspire, raise awareness and educate families on the importance of a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
