After the interval at today's Delegate Assembly, president Josep Maria Bartomeu took to the microphone to issue the following statement on the latest developments regarding the situation in Catalonia.
"Barça has always stood by the people of Catalonia and its institutions. So today, on the application of article 155, we must reiterate our absolute support for the democratic institutions of Catalonia chosen by its people.
"We also wish to express our support for and solidarity with all of the affected parties and the public media.
"Now, more than ever, we must act with serenity. Any reaction must be civil and peaceful. In the stadium too.
"And now more than ever, we must reiterate our support for dialogue as the only possible means to find a solution for the situation in Catalonia."
