Two Ballon d’Or winners return to the Camp Nou

Friday’s Barça Legends match will see the return of two famous Brazilians who each won the most coveted individual trophy: Ronaldinho and Rivaldo

When the FC Barcelona Legends go head-to-head against the greats of Manchester United at the Camp Nou on Friday, two very special individuals will be lining up for the blaugrana.

Rivaldo and Ronaldinho, two great Brazilians who donned the no.10 jersey at different times, each won the Ballon d’Or while playing for Barça.

Rivaldo was at Barça for five seasons, between 1997 and 2002, where he scored 136 goals in 253 matches. Furthermore, he helped the team to two league titles (97/98 and 98/99), one Spanish Super Cup (1997) and a Copa del Rey (97/98).

Ronaldinho also was a Barça man for five years, from 2003 until 2008, and won La Liga twice (04/05 and 05/06), a Champions League (05/06) and two Spanish Super Cups (05/06 and 06/07), scoring 110 goals across the 250 matches played.

The Legends match between Barça and Manchester United will take place on Friday 30 June at 7.00pm CET at the Camp Nou. The proceeds from the game will be donated to the PCCB project (Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona), of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, which aims to guarantee oncology treatment for all children affected. Tickets range between €10 and €21, and the benefits will be given in full towards the construction of the new centre and research into children’s cancer.
