To earn the place that was promised to him in the first team squad by coach Johan Cruyff, Albert Ferrer had to gain First Division experience with a six month loan spell at Tenerife. Once a part of senior squad, he spent eight seasons between 1990 and 1998 with the first team and he looks back on the football the team played under Cruyff as well as the nail biting last few minutes of the 1992 European Cup final.
