Beko, the Turkish appliance maker and Premium Partner of FC Barcelona, presented on Monday at Camp Nou its new line of refrigerators, which come in the Barça colours.

In attendance were the former FC Barcelona player, Éric Abidal; the CEO of Beko Spain, Cem Akant; and International Sponsorship Project Leader for Beko Global, Maria Bañeres.

The appliance maker announced the launch of four new products that follow through on the company’s goal of providing everyday solutions using the latest in technology and design. The four Barça-inspired refrigerators will be available through Beko’s national distribution network.

To celebrate the launch of these special, Barça-themed refrigerators, Abidal and Beko took to Facebook Live, where they unveiled the #BekoFCBChallenge, a social media-based campaign that gives all Barça fans the chance to win one of the new models.

“Beko’s partnership reaffirms that sport is a very important part of our lives,” said Abidal. “The more free time that Beko can give to its users, the better.”

About Beko

Beko, the international appliance maker based in Turkey, is part of the Arçelik Group and is a Global Premium Partner of FC Barcelona. Beko’s four-year deal with Barça was signed at the start of the 2014/15 season and runs through the end of the 2017/18 season. The international sponsorship agreement calls for Beko’s logo to appear on the sleeve of FC Barcelona’s official jerseys.

“Our partnership with FC Barcelona has contributed substantially to the recognition of the Beko Spain brand,” said Mr. Akant, the Beko CEO. “That’s why we have designed a new range of four fridges inspired by the colours of Barça and by the passion for football so that fans can continue their passion at home.”

Beko is the second largest white good brand and has been the fastest growing brand in the European market in the last seven years. In Spain, Beko is third in sales among appliance makers. For the company, the smart generation is the greatest source of inspiration in pioneering future solutions and is inspired by people’s ever-changing needs and lifestyles, with the aim of making the lives of consumers easier.

“The fact that Beko wants to carry out these types of activities with us shows that the partnership with FC Barcelona is fruitful for both parties,” said Manel Arroyo, FC Barcelona’s Vice President for Marketing and Communications. “With the kind of sponsorship that Beko is implementing, our colours will be present in a prominent place in many homes.”
