For several years, the Camp Nou has not just been hosting football matches, but also others events, including weddings. And on Thursday evening, just 48 hours before the clásico, Kenya Kishimoto and Nozomi, a Japanese couple with a passion for football and Barça in particular, tied the knot in the stadium. The civic ceremony was attended by a small group of people on the Barça field.

Theatre of dreams

Speaking to Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat, the groom spoke about his emotional day. “I have lived in Barcelona for 15 years and I have never missed a Barça match” he said. “This is the theatre of my dreams”. Kenya is a centre back for an amateur team and so his hero is Carles Puyol. The club gave him a shirt with the player’s name on the back, while Nozomi’s bore the name of Andrés Iniesta.

It all comes at a particularly exciting moment, with the Barça v Real Madrid clásico just two days away. They are the first couple to contract the Civil Ceremony at the Camp Nou service, which also includes a photo shoot in some of the most emblematic parts of the ground, such as the presidential zone, the dressing rooms and the mixed zone.
