What is Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a national holiday held on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States and the second Monday in October in Canada. The holiday, which commemorates the first harvest of the continent’s first European settlers, is observed by families across North America. Thanksgiving is a time when families gather to give thanks for what they have, and like all good holidays, there’s a traditional meal consisting of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry and pumpkin pie.
