USAP Perpignan return to Barcelona this weekend as part of the 2nd Festival of Catalan Rugby. The side from Northern Catalonia will play Stade Toulousain at 3 pm in the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium. The fixture is part of the fifth round of the French League Top 14. The game is the main attraction of the festivities, which will get underway at 12 o’clock with activities suitable for all the family.

There will be an amusement area, where young and old alike will enjoy a range of games and workshops. Visitors will be able to have their faces painted, play Catalan Ninepins, try out the rugby shoot meter or enjoy the inflatables. In addition, there will be live performances from La Tresca, Verdesca, and Cesk Freixas plus itinerant shows from Tokem x Tu and Xaranga Los Labradores.

Catalan friendlies

As well as the USAP game, lovers of rugby will be treated to three friendlies featuring the under-12 and under-14 squads from Northern and Southern Catalonia, (12.30 pm and 1.15 pm) while after the USAP game it will the turn of Catalonia Senior A to take on Andorra.

Tickets available up to the game

The ticket offices of the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium will be open on Saturday before the start of the game between USAP and Stade Toulousain. Tickets are also available online at the USAP website, at www.datasport.fr and at the ticket offices of the Aimé Giral Stadium. Prices range from 9 to 69 euros, depending on the location in the stadium. FC Barcelona will donate the proceeds from ticket sales to the people affected by the wildfires in Alt Empordà earlier this summer.
