Andoni Goikoetxea and Eusebio Sacristán were among the most notable players in the 11th match of veteran FC Barcelona players, celebrated this Saturday at Sant Carles de la Rápita. The ex-Dream Team footballers enjoyed a festive day in the presence of Barça’s first Champions League trophy. The trophy won in Wembley in 1992 left the FC Barcelona Museum for the first time for the 20th anniversary of Barça’s first successful Champions League campaign. The directord Toni Freixa, Silvio Elías and Javier Bordas also spent the day with the ex-Barça players.

The day started with three matches at the municipal La Devesa stadium. The teams divided up according to different age groups. After the games, the players enjoyed a meal together in the festive atmosphere of Montsiá. Speeches were given, among them one from the President of the Barça Jugadors Association, Ramon Alfonseda, who paid tribute to the late Lluís Aloy and Manuel Preciado.

Recognition for the local players

After the meal, the Club recognized the players from Terres de l’Ebre that have donned the Barça strip: Manel Also, Ricard Alumbreros 'Pantoja', Ramon Cugat, Emili Descarrega, Francesc Llagostera, Xavier Reverté and Antoni Teixidor.
