European Professional Football Match Day Against Hunger

This weekend the League will take part in the third edition of the European Professional Football Match Day Against Hunger campaign, which will be held simultaneously in 20 European Leagues with 300 clubs participating. The 31st League match day, on March 31st and April 1st, is the weekend hosting this solidarity activity organised by the Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the European Commission (EC).

Actiities at the Camp Nou

This Saturday the Camp Nou will also raise it’s his voice against hunger with various awareness activities. The players, both from Barça and Athletic Bilbao, will take to the pitch with t-shirts carrying the slogan "Sahel Emergency. Together we can save lives". As well as that, before the game, a tarpaulin linked to the project will be placed on the pitch, and project publicity will be broadcast on the video scoreboards. The Camp Nou Speaker, Manel Vich, will also make special mention of the worthy cause.

The launch of this campaign took place on Monday 26th of March, and this year focuses on the Sahel region in Western Africa, where work is being done to prevent the repetition of the food crisis that has plagued the Horn of Africa.
