Jeff Lutes


Jeff Lutes joined the Orlando Magic in November 2012 as the vice president of technology. In this role, he oversees the IT and broadcast technologies and services departments which in turn are responsible for the technology infrastructures and platforms for the Orlando Magic and Amway Center technologies, including interior and exterior digital signage / LED, high density Wi-Fi, Replay systems, media servers, and other video room components. In addition, Jeff oversees business innovations and the recently launched innovation lab. Prior to joining the Magic, Lutes worked as the vice president of technology for an international manufacturing company in Central Florida. Jeff spent ten years with CNI Financial Group, located in Central Florida, where he served as CIO of the Shared Services Organization and Vice President of Business Systems for CNL Hotel and Resorts.

Jeff currently serves on the board of Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, as a member of the Technical Advisory committee for the Doctor Phillips Performing Art Center (DPPAC), and as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Windermere, Fla. where he is involved with global missions.



Fan Engagement via Mobile Collaboration and Innovation

The Orlando Magic was the first team in the NBA to deploy Apple Pay technologies. The Orlando Magic is also set to implement a new integrated mobile application this season that will enhance our mobile first strategy. This application is tightly integrated with TicketMaster, our POS platform along with other key partner technologies providing a flawless experience for our fans. We have and continue to develop integrations between our IPTV and digital signage platform and mobile devices. As the Magic embark on the development of a sports and entertainment district we will further expand upon our mobile first philosophy.
