The Champions’ League draw, this afternoon

Barça, who will be first in their group, will find out their rivals in the group stage of the Champions’ League this Thursday afternoon. Bayern Munich and Juventus are some of the more important teams who could be grouped with Barça.

Having overcome the preliminary, the first round of the Champions’ will be finalised this Thursday afternoon (6p.m.) after the draw, held in Monaco. The 32 sides that qualified will be divided into eight groups of four teams.

Barça, represented by Joan Laporta, Txiki Begiristain, Raül Sanllehí and Albert Perrín is one of the eight top seeds in the competition and will be in the first drum. The other seven clubs with the best U.E.F.A. coefficient are Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Madrid, Olimpique de Lyon and Inter Milan.

Possible well known rivals

Barça’s rivals will be one team from the second drum, one from the third and one from the fourth, except for Villarreal and Atlético de Madrid, who cannot meet because of being from the same league

Thus, in the second urn are Bayern Munich, PSV Eindhoven, Villarreal, Roma, Porto, Werder Bremen, Sporting Lisbon and Juventus. I

n the third, we have Olympique de Marseilles, Zenit, Steaua Bucharest, Panathanaikos, Girondins de Bordeaux, Glasgow Celtic and Fenerbahçe.

Finally in the fourth drum are those teams with the worst coefficient. They are Atlético de Madrid, Anorthosis, Shaktar Donetsk, Fiorentina, Dynamo Kiev, CFR Cluj, Aalborgand Bate Borisov
