The FCB Foundation undertakes to adapt its programmes and to implement them jointly with UNHCR in places where there are refugee or displaced children.
The FCB Foundation programmes to be adapted are as follows:
- XICS (International Network of Solidarity Centres)
- JES (Sport Solidarity Conferences)
- ¡Juégala! (Educational resources for promoting the values of sport)
UNHCR undertakes to help the FCB Foundation in adapting these programmes for refugees and to
provide technical assistance and administrative and logistical support for the implementation of
the projects on the ground.
Both organisations undertake to publicise the results and the activities carried out by the
two partners.
The beneficiaries of the first year of the agreement
During the first year of the
partnership in 2008, the FCB Foundation and UNHCR will put in place projects for refugees in the
following countries:
- Rwanda (refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo)
- Nepal (refugees from Bhutan)
- Ecuador (refugees from Colombia)
The projects will give priority to setting up amicable relationships between refugees and the
host population and are to promote participation in activities by local children and young people.
