The Spanish side has achieved an important win against South Korea to move a step closer to qualification for the knockout stage. All of the FC Barcelona players, Víctor Tomás, Rocas, Entrerríos, Sarmiento, Gurbindo, Viran Morros and Aguirrezabalaga, played a role in a harder victory than the scoreboard might suggest.
In the first half, Spain managed a narrow two-point lead 16-14. Things remained more or less the same for most of the second half, but then Valero Rivera’s side found some extra energy and managed to widen the gap to seven. That meant they were able to ease off a little for the last few minutes, and at the end celebrate what so far amount to four points in a highly competitive group.
