FC Barcelona and Johan Sjöstrand have agreed annul the last year remaining on the player's contract. The Swedish goalkeeper leaves the Club after helping the team to two Asobal League titles and one Champions League crown
The Club wishes to express its gratitude to the player for the professionalism he showed throughout his last two seasons as a FC Barcelona Intersport player, and wishes him the best in his future professional and personal endeavors.
Two League titles and one Champions League
Johan Sjöstrand arrived to FC Barcelona in the 2010/11 season. The keeper replaced David Barrufet, who retired the previous year. Sjöstrand was the reserve keeper behind Danjel Saric during his two-year stint with the Club.
The player has won two Asobal League titles (10/11 and 11/12) and one Champions League title (10/11). On the international level, Sjöstrand won the silver medal in the London Olympic Games with Sweden.
