This Monday, FC Barcelona Intersport's Olympians will return to training with their Club team-mates
After the London Olympic Games, the 10 Azulgrana handball players that were named to their respective national teams returned to Barcelona to prepare for the 2012/13 season. The Barça players returning from the Olympics are as follows: Sarmiento, Entrerríos,Tomás, Viran Morros, Rocas, Aguirrezabalaga, Sorhaindo Sjöstrand and Jernemyr.
The Barça Intersport players are due at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper Sant Joan Despí at 9.00 tomorrow morning. The morning training session will start off with the Olympians taking physical tests before they reunite with their Club team-mates.
It will also be the first chance for the Barça’s handball players to congratulate the Olympic medalists, Sorhaindo, who won gold with France, and Jernemyr and Sjöstrand, silver with Sweden.
After the morning training session, at noon in the Camp Nou’s Richard Maxenchs press room, Eduardo Gurbindo will be presented as a new Barça Intersport player.
At 16.00, the team will hold its second training session of the day at the Ciutat Esportiva. After the session, the players will head off to El Prat Airport and fly to Zagreb. Upon arrival to the Croatia capital, the team will make the journey to Doboj, Bosnia, by motor coach to play in the 44th International Handball Tournament.
