Four more Barça players secure World Cup quarter-final berths

All ten Barça Alusport players that are in Thailand for the Futsal World Cup have qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition. This Sunday Spain, with six Barça players on the team, qualified for the quarter-finals, and this Monday the Brazilians Ari Santos, Wilde and Gabriel and the Italian Saad Assis clinched a spot in the round of 8.

Brazil runs riot thanks to Ari’s goals

Brazil, with Ari Santos, Wilde and Gabriel on the court, crushed Panama by 16-0. Ari, one of the Brazilian players to get on the scoresheet, netted a hat-trick agains the Central American country. The Barça Alusport player scored the fourth, fifth and sixteenth goal of the match.

Brazil will face Argentina on Wednesday.

Saad Assis scores a hat-trick for Italy

The other Blaugrana to qualify for the quarter-finals this Monday was the Italian, Saad Assis. His team edged Egypt by 5 to 1 with the help of three goals from the Blaugrana. Italy will face off against Portugal on Wednesday.

Barça Alusport are represented in three of the four quarter-final matches of the World Cup. This Wednesday, Spain, with Torras, Fernandao, Aicardo, Lin, Lozano and Cristian will battle it out with Russia for a spot in the semi-finals.
