Barça Alusport has started the 2012/13 pre-season. The team returned to work this Thursday at 8.00 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, with the usual medical check-ups, endurance and stress tests. “I was eager to get back to work after the summer break and be with my teammates and managers. The last two years have been fantastic and the pre-season is vital for the upcoming season,” said Lin, who summed up the general feeling of the 12 first team players and the 3 reservists - Javi Alonso, Eric Martel and José María Mella - that gathered at the Club’s facilities this morning.
“An exciting season awaits us, we have six titles in play. The objective is to continue to win titles. We’ll see if we can do it. We’re all very eager and excited for it all to begin,” said Jordi Torras right before he started his medical check-up. The players are aware that they are the team to beat next season and that’s why they want to be ready. “I want to win as many titles as possible but we have to take it one step at a time,” said Lin.
The whole team, present
Marc Carmona has started the pre-season with all of his players, including Aicardo, the only player Barça Alusport brought in for the upcoming season. Therefore, Cristian, Paco Sedano, Ari Santos, Sergio Lozano, Jordi Torras, Saad, Lin, Gabriel da Silva, Fernandao, Igor and Aicardo all reported to the Azulgrana manager this morning.
This Thursday evening, at 19.00, the team will hold the first training session of the 2012/13 pre-season. On Friday, the team will hold three training sessions, where the players will combine futsal drills with physical conditioning.
