FC Barcelona’s youth teams secured two new league titles for the Club. This Saturday the Barça Benjamín B and Cadete B teams secured the league titles of their respective age groups by beating Calella (5-2) and Vilanova i la Geltrú (7-1), respectively.
Benjamín B run riot in the competition
With 80 points, the team have only conceded two draws and they haven’t lost a single game all season. The Barça youth team celebrated a well deserved league title on the pitch after today’s match. With one match remaining in the season, where Barça will rest due to Rocafonda CF’s withdraw from the competition, it’s mathematically impossible for Espanyol to catch the team managed by Sergi Milá and Óscar Jorquera in the 3rd group of the Benjamín Primera division. A brace from Iker González and goals from Albert Garrido, Óscar Romero and Martí Riera secured the three points for the youth team.
Cadete B earn the league title
After the Benjamín B match, it was time for Fran Artiga’s boys to take to the pitch. The Cadete B team thrashed Vilanova i la Geltrú 7-1 to seal their own league title. This Barça youth team have only conceded three draws and two defeats all season. With 11 points over the second place team, Barris Santes Creus, the Azulgrana side finishes the season as the team with the most goals and the least goals conceded. The players celebrated their conquest on the pitch after the match.
