FC Barcelona and Everton Football Club have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Lucas Digne to the English club. Everton will pay FC Barcelona 20.2 million euros, plus 1.5 million euros in variables.

The Club would like to publicly express their gratitude to Lucas Digne for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future.

45 games and 4 titles

During his two seasons with FC Barcelona, the French left back made 45 official appearances for the Club: 29 in the league, seven in the Copa del Rey, seven in the Champions League and 3 in the Spanish Super Cup. Digne scored twice in a Barça shirt, once in the Copa del Rey and once in the Champions League. Furthermore, he claimed four trophies in his time at Barça: two Copas del Rey, a LaLiga title and a Spanish Super Cup.

The French full back, up until recently on tour in the US with the rest of the Barça squad, was able to bid farewell to his team mates before returning to Barcelona to finalise his departure from the Club. In addition, Digne wished to leave a goodbye message in which he thanked everyone for how he was treated during his spell as a blaugrana. “Sharing a dressing room with the best players in the world has been incredible, I can only thank everybody.” To conclude on a positive note, he added: “Winning trophies here has been special, winning the double and celebrating with the fans in the street was incredible.”
