has broken the record for the most goals in a season

On May 2, 2012 Leo Messi broke Gerhard Müller’s record of 67 goals in official matches in one season. But the Argentinian hadn’t finished yet and finished the season with 73 goals: 50 in the League, 14 in the Champions League, 3 in the Copa del Rey, 3 in the Spanish Supercup, 1 in the European Supercup and 2 in the Clubs World Cup. This has all helped Leo Messi finish as top scorer in both la Liga and the Champions League.
