Highest goalscorer in Champions League

The player from Rosario has equalled the tally of 14 goals scored
by José Altafini (AC Milan) in the 1962/1963 European Cup.

Barça were beaten in the Champions League semi finals by Chelsea, but despite not going to Munich, the Argentinian still made history. He became the joint highest goalscorer in the history of Europe’s premier club competition, and the highest of the Champions League era.

Thus the FCB player equalled the record set by José Altafini, who scored the name number of goals in the 1962/1963 season for AC Milan.
