FC BARCELONA-REAL MADRID 4-2 (1951/52)

March 2, 1952. Round 25 League 1951/52.

It was the season of the Five Cups, won by a formidable team based around Hungarian superstar Ladislau Kubala. The league was won thanks to victories such as this against a determined Real Madrid side at Les Corts. It was a spectacular game decided thanks to César Rodríguez’s effectiveness in front of goal, resulting in a hat trick consisting of two headers and a solo effort in which he weaved his way through two defenders. Five matches later Barça clinched the title with a three point lead over Athletic Bilbao.
