Messi misses training

After yesterday’s rest day, Tito Vilanova’s players were back in training this morning ahead of Saturday evening’s La Liga game at the Camp Nou against Celta. Leo Messi was given permission to miss the session to deal with a personal matter.

Puyol and Piqué both busy

Four B team players joined the available first team squad -Tello, Miguel Ángel, Quintillà and Gustavo, whilst Carles Puyol and Gerard Piqué both continued to work on their recovery from injury, working hard on the training pitch apart from the rest of the group.

Training on Saturday

The players will meet up again, as is normal for a home game, at the Camp Nou on Saturday morning for a training session behind closed doors beginning at 10.30. The squad will then stay at the NH Constanza Hotel, before returning to the ground for their six o’clock kick off against Celta.
