Training session without Catalan internationals

Today’s second training session was attended by fewer footballers than normal due to the game between Catalonia’s national team and Tunisia at Montjuic. Barça was without Valdés, Fontàs, Piqué, Busquets, Xavi, Cesc, Muniesa, Montoya and Sergi Roberto this evening at the Ciutat Esportiva.

The absentees were replaced by the reserve keeper Masip and the under-17 side players Ayala (who trained this morning with the first team), Calvet and Jordi Quintillà. Puyol, Keita and Alexis, all of whom have niggling injuries, trained apart from the main group.

Barça will hold their final training session of 2011 tomorrow, Saturday, at 10.00 at Sant Joan Despí.
