The catalan player is back at the place where, in 2000, he was chosen from among all the youth players to lay the first stone
On December 11, 2000, Jordi Alba was the chosen member of the Barça youth teams to lay the first stone of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, just one year after he had arrived at the club.
Twelve years later and he’s back as the first signing of the Tito Vilanova era, and on returning to the place where he formed part of Barça history, he said “it happened by chance. I was chosen. A few years have gone by since, and now I’m back again.”
