Rooney: “The result isn’t the most important thing”

Wayne Rooney spoke to the media on Tuesday and explained that for him the game against Barça will be” a good test” for his team as they prepare for the new season. “It’s great to play big games and with Barça I am sure we’ll see a good match. It’s all part of our pre-season preparation and it’s important we do things right. We want to enjoy the game and get really fit and in form for the start of the season”.

Rooney also admitted: “in a way, the result is not the most important thing – that is our attitude and getting match fit. I’m happy with how things are going so far, I’ve been training for two weeks and I’ve put in a lot of hard work”.
