Seydou Keita’s Mali managed to take three very important points in the match against Algeria in the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifier. With the final 2-1 result, Mali move into third place in Group H, with three points, the same amount as the Algerians and one behind Benin.
Mali fight back
The Algerian national team took the lead on seven minutes thanks to a goal from Slimani. Mali had time to react and they turned the game around thanks to goals from Ndiaya (min. 30) and Mayga (min. 80). Keita, Mali’s captain, featured in starting team and played the entire 90 minutes.
