Barça’s first opponent in the Champions League group stage, Spartak Moscow, cruised to victory this Sunday in the Russian League. FK Rostov didn’t put up too much resistance against Unai Emery’s side as the team from the Russian capital secured a 3-1 win. Emenike scored a brace, the first on 26 minutes and the second on 71. Ari scored a goal as well. FK Rostov pulled one back in the dying minutes of the game.
Barça’s other opponent in the Champions League group stage, Celtic, beat Dundee United by 2-0. Even though Brown missed a penalty on 37 minutes, Hooper scored to give his team the lead before the break. At the start of the second half, Celtic killed the game off thanks to a goal from Wanyama. Celtic sit atop the Scottish League standings with a one-point advantage.
