The FCB AVEA Camp, financed and sponsored by telecommunications company AVEA, has got off to a successful start with 120 children joining the training sessions

Five FCBEscola coaches have travelled to Istanbul to run the training sessions

Second FCBCamp in November

The next campus in Turkey is scheduled for November. A further 120 children will be selected and issued with grants thanks to AVEA, where they too will learn about the FCBEscola methodology directly from the club’s own coaching staff.

As announced last June by the director of FCBEscola Xevi Marcé and former player Josep Moratalla, along with the directors of telecommunications company AVEA, the first of two FCBCamps in Turkey, using the Turkish Schools Sports Federation’s facilities in Istanbul is under way. It’s all part of an ambitious training programme that FC Barcelona is setting up in the cpuntry.

Barça philosophy

From last June 9 until Friday 13, 120 children selected for this first FCBCamp in Istanbul have been enjoying the sessions. They were chosen from among 4500 applicants from the three cities announced last June: Istanbul, Izmir and Van.

All of the participants have demonstrated a high level, are keen to learn, and have adapted well to the FCBEscola philosophy. FC Barcelona has many admirers in the country, and the children are thoroughly enjoying the experience, with many surprising the coaches with their ability.
