The futsal captain extends his contract for another year

Sergio Lozano's deal now stretches until 30 June 2025

Positive news for Sergio Lozano as the futsal captain extends his contract with FC Barcelona until 30 June 2025 and becomes the fourth player to do so this season following on from his team mates Pito, Didac and Catela.

Lozano signs a new deal after completing his recovery from a serious knee injury just last month after an absence of 10 months. A muscle injury forced him out of the recent Cup victory in Cartagena but the captain should return following the break for international matches. This season Lozano has scored two goals, against Noia in the league and Peníscola in the Copa del Rey.

13 seasons at the Club

Lozano is in his 13th campaign at Barça and his sixth as captain. He came to the blaugranes in 2011 and since then he has set a whole series of futsal records at FC Barcelona. His current total of 330 goals and his 34 trophies are both blaugrana records.

Lozano delighted

“I want to retire at Barça and I want my  last game as a player to be at the Palau, saying goodbye in front of the fans to thank them for all their support over the years. My priority has always been to continue at Barça and I don't want to wear any other jersey and I am here as long as the Club wants me," explained the captain.
