Mariona reaches 300 appearances for Barça

On Friday Mariona Caldentey made her 300th official appearance for Barça Women in the game against  Athletic Club at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. The striker becomes the seventh player to reach the figure with Melanie Serrano (517), Marta Torrejón (429), Alexia Putellas (421), Vicky Losada (376), Marta Unzué (360) and her team mate Patri Guijarro ahead of her on the all time list. 

Before the game the director responsible for Barça Women, Xavi Puig, awarded Mariona a commemorative jersey and the player had her photograph taken with her team mate Patri Guijarro who also recently reached 300 games in a Barça shirt. Mariona celebrated by scoring twice in Barça's comprehensive 7-0 win over the Basque side. 

A decade with the first team 

Mariona made her debut for the first team back in 2014/15 and in total has scored 112 goals in her 300 official appearances, putting her fifth on the all time list for the women's team. This season she has scored 17 goals, just one from her best ever return which came in the 2020/21 season. In total 73 of her goals have come in the league, 16 in the Champions League, 11 in the Copa de la Reina, 3 in the Spanish Super Cup and 9 in the Copa Catalunya. 

23 trophies 

After claiming the league last weekend in the game against Granada, Mariona Caldentey now has 23 trophies to her name with Barça, including 6 league titles and 2 Champions League titles along with Spanish Super Cups, 6 Copas Catalunya and 5 Copas de la Reina. The Barça number 9 could add another Copa de la Reina to her collection with the final to come against Real Sociedad on 18 May not to mention another Champions League with another final on May 25 against Olympique Lyonnais in Bilbao.
