Spain win against France with the help of many Barça players, including the two goalscorers

No fewer than eight FC Barcelona players figure among the first ever winners of the UEFA Women's Nations League! Spain overcame France 2-0 in the final as Montse Tomé's team were crowned champions after vital goals by the blaugranes Aitana Bonmatí and Mariona Caldentey.

Both midfielder and forward were among the six starters from Barça in the Spanish national team. Cata Coll showed her security in goal and claimed a clean sheet, tireless Ona Batlle stretched the pitch on the right flank, before switching to the left, Irene Paredes was rock solid in defence, while also hitting the post with a header, and Salma Paralluelo played up front and was a constant threat in behind the French defence.

In addition to the six starters, Vicky López, who came off the bench in the 85th minute, and Alexia Putellas, who didn't get on the pitch, also received their winners medals. So, the world champions extend their winning run to include the Nations League title, watched on by a fervent home crowd of 32,657 at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville.
