They're calling him the 'Shark' and it's easy to see why. Ferran Torres scored the only goal of the game with Porto on Wednesday night and with four now in his account, nobody in the team is producing goals at a faster rate than the Valencian. After 354 minutes of playing time this season, he's been netting once every 88.5 minutes.
Robert Lewandowski (a goal every 130.83 minutes) and Fermín López (every 136 minutes) are the duo who come closest to him.
Across La Liga, and counting all competitions, only Abdon Prats of Mallorca (50.25 minutes) and Álvaro Morata of Atlético following his brace against Feyenoord (82.14) have been scoring goals faster than the Barça forward.
Torres' goals matter too. Two have been point-winners. He scored the equaliser against Villarreal (Barça went on to win that one) and the winner against Porto.
His goal against Cadiz made sure of the three points for his team, while the goal against Betis was a special one too. It was the first time in two years that Barça had scored from a direct free kick.
